The first step in changing your space.
This initial consultation is also known as our Residential Interview because we’ll be meeting with you in your home (virtually or on-site) and ideally any other residents (if they so choose) that may occupy the space so we can create a person-environment fit for everyone.
We find it best in this first phase to focus on the person (feelings and attitudes) rather than upon the environment. We learn much more about our clients by asking them to describe their experiences in the home rather than to discuss what they like or dislike about it. When people talk about themselves, the environmental context is naturally included; but when people discuss specific environmental preferences, the underlying needs are not as clearly revealed
Once design goals have been established, more meaningful recommendations can be provided. As we identify your timeline and budget we’ll discuss available service options and outline a plan for next steps.
